Curriculum Review Meeting on Introducing Business Economics as a Major in BBA and MBA Programs

On 6 August 2025, Green Business School (GBS) organized a curriculum review meeting to discuss the introduction of Business Economics as a major in the Bachelor of Business (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. The session was presided over by honorable Dean of Business Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dr. Md. Idris Ali, Chairman of the Department and respected faculty members.

Distinguished external experts, Prof. Zahurul Alam, Dean, School of Business, The Canadian University of Bangladesh, and Professor Showkat Ali, Professor of Economics, Jahangirnagar University, enriched the discussion with their valuable insights. Industry perspective was contributed by GBS alumni, including Mr. Nasim Aziz.

The updated curriculum was briefly presented by Ms. Laila Ferdousy, Assistant Professor of Economics, and Md. Fakhrudoza Bari, Assistant Professor of Economics, GBS. In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz emphasized the importance of aligning the new major with global economic trends and industry demands. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Md. Idris Ali, acknowledging the contributions of all participants toward enhancing the academic offerings of GBS.
