Faculty Workshop on “From Outcomes to Evidence : Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Assessment Design and Course File Preparation for BAC Accreditation” Held at Green Business School

The Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) of Green Business School organized a day-long Faculty Workshop titled “From Outcomes to Evidence: Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Assessment Design and Course File Preparation for BAC Accreditation” on 31 October 2026. The workshop aimed to strengthen faculty members’ understanding of outcome-based teaching and learning, effective assessment practices, and course file preparation in line with accreditation requirements.

Ms. Showkat Ara Khanam, Assistant Professor and Head of the PSAC, opened the program by welcoming the participants and explaining why the workshop matters for academic quality and accreditation readiness. The Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean, Green Business School, stressed the importance of academic excellence, outcome-based education and collective effort in meeting accreditation standards.

The technical sessions were led by Dr. Mohammad Delwar Hussain, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration, and Ms. Nusrat Jahan, Assistant Professor. The morning sessions covered systematic course file preparation, question-setting techniques, CLO-PLO mapping, and how assessment activities should align with learning outcomes. After lunch, the Chairperson discussed the cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning domains and how to use them in assessment and question design. Participants then worked on sample academic documents containing deliberate errors, which they identified and corrected. Faculty members took part actively throughout, asking questions and sharing their views.

In their feedback, participants called the sessions informative, practical and helpful in preparing for upcoming academic and accreditation requirements. The workshop ended with a group photograph session. Its positive response reflects PSAC’s continued commitment to academic improvement and preparedness for BAC accreditation.
